Nike and Tottenham Hotspur jointly unveiled the team’s new second away jersey for the 2021-22 season. The new jersey is inspired by young people in the local community.
In 2019, local art studio Tottex worked with the Nike design team to train eight creative young people.Through a series of workshops, they were able to articulate exactly what Tottenham as a region means to them
Now, the group’s creative vision has come to life with the design of the new second away jersey, which features an exaggerated print inspired by Tottenham’s local streets and alleys. The eye-catching purple design celebrates the vibrancy of the club’s N17 community and features an N17 logo inside the collar.
As part of its ‘Move To Zero’ commitment to sustainability, Nike has used recycled polyester made from recycled plastic bottles to produce soccer kits since 2010.Recycled polyester can reduce carbon emissions by up to 30% compared to virgin polyester, helping to reduce the environmental impact of jersey production.
