Nike and Liverpool FC have unveiled the team’s new home shirt for the 2022-23 season.
Inspired by the ‘Scouse solidarity’ attitude, the bold and simple design reflects the Liverpool mentality that makes Liverpool unique.
The classic image of the club is frozen in time, as the all-red home shirt is adorned with intricate YNWA detailing on the sleeves, representing the elastic bond between the fans and the club.
As is customary, the “97” flame logo on the back of the jersey below the collar commemorates the 97 fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough tragedy.Starting with the 2022-23 season, the “96” in the logo will be changed to “97” in honor of Andrew Devine, the 97th man to leave as a result of the Hillsborough tragedy.
