Just days before fans return to the pitch for the resumption of the new Premier League season, Adidas and Arsenal FC today unveiled the team’s new second away shirt for the 2021-22 season.
Drawing inspiration from the trends and culture of the 1990s, the new design features an exaggerated lightning bolt motif running throughout the body and a two-tone Adidas sports logo on the chest that evokes the EQT logo of the era.The jersey is a combination of a deep “Mystery Blue”, scarlet, cyan or light blue with navy blue shorts and socks. In addition, player and fan versions of the women’s jersey and youth jersey were also released.
The new shirt will make its debut on August 13 local time at the Gunners’ away game against Brentford, the opening game of the new Premier League season.
Like the new home and away shirts, all Arsenal shirts for the 2021-22 season will feature the “Arsenal for Everyone” logo on the back collar in a nod to the diversity of the Arsenal family.Arsenal for Everyone is a diversity and inclusion campaign launched by Arsenal in 2008, hoping to make every member of the team community feel the same sense of belonging.
